Behind the Lens

Hi, I’m Fermin, a San Diego-based photographer. My creative journey started long before I ever picked up a camera. At thirteen, I began playing guitar, which eventually led me to study classical guitar, music production, and music theory in college.

I didn’t expect to fall in love with photography, but everything changed when I picked up my first camera in 2019. What started as curiosity quickly became another outlet for creativity—one that felt just as natural as music. Since then, I’ve dedicated myself to learning, growing, and refining my craft.

You’ll almost always find me with a camera in hand, whether I’m exploring places like Yosemite, Joshua Tree, or Anza-Borrego, or capturing meaningful moments closer to home.

For me, photography is about more than just images, it’s about telling stories and preserving moments that people can look back on for years to come. That’s what I aim to bring into every session.
